The meeting called for faster resumption of work on geological disaster prevention projects, and the monitoring and alert system should be optimized with the efforts of both professionals and the public.

The meeting also urged officials to conduct investigations into potential risks of geological disasters, while enhancing the developing and testing of monitoring and early warning equipment for better technological support.

The ministries of natural resources, water resources, emergency management and other relevant departments should toughen cooperation to form a highly efficient mechanism for geological disaster prevention and control, the meeting said.
