国内英语资讯:CPC members urged to implement Xis speech at meeting summarizing education campaign

BEIJING, Jan. 9 -- Members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) have been asked to study and implement a speech made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, at a meeting summarizing a CPC education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission."

A circular issued Thursday by the leading group for the education campaign said Xi's speech, delivered at the Wednesday meeting, is of great significance and offers guidance to the whole Party in deepening self-reform, staying true to its founding mission and striving for the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

It urged all Party members to align their thinking and actions with the spirit of Xi's speech.

Staying true to the Party's founding mission should be an eternal topic of strengthening Party building and a lifelong task for all Party members, the circular said.

The Party members were urged to confront and solve problems that run counter to the Party's original mission with courage and self-awareness and transform their sense of duty into action by fulfilling their responsibilities.

The circular also stressed establishing and implementing the system of "staying true to our founding mission."
