国内英语资讯:Xis selected remarks on army building published

BEIJING, May 21 -- A book of selected remarks by President Xi Jinping on national defense and building a strong army has been published, military authorities said Sunday.

The book includes 67 of Xi's statements made between November 2017 and April 2017.

Xi is also chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC).

The book was published by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Publishing House and, upon approval by the CMC, it will be distributed to officers at the regimental level and above.

The Political Work Department under the CMC led the compilation of the book. The department has issued a circular urging all officers and soldiers to study the book.
