国内英语资讯:Vice premier meets Macao delegation

BEIJING, Oct. 24 -- Vice Premier Han Zheng on Thursday met with a delegation from Macao at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The delegation consists of representatives from the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, the General Union of Macao Residents Associations and the Women's General Association of Macao.

Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said the central government will continue to unswervingly and fully implement the principle of "one country, two systems," uphold the authority of China's Constitution and the basic Law of the region and ensure the practice of "one country, two systems" is always advancing along the right direction.

Speaking highly of the societies that love both the country and Macao, Han encouraged them to make greater contributions to building a better Macao and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
