BEIJING, Oct. 9 -- The establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the Solomon Islands on the basis of the one-China principle conforms to the trend of the times and benefits the two peoples, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Wednesday.
During a meeting with the Solomon Islands' Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Xi told Sogavare that there is no particular order of friendship.
As long as it is maintained, the friendship will enjoy bright prospects, Xi said.
