国内英语资讯:Vice premier stresses efforts to ensure complete success of Beijing horticultural expo

BEIJING, Sept. 20 -- Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua has called for efforts to ensure the complete success of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing as the expo draws to a close.

Hu, also head of the organizing committee of the expo, said that all member units should strengthen coordination and focus on key tasks as the closing ceremony and the National Day holiday approach.

"We should make every effort to ensure the success of the closing ceremony," he said, adding that plans for the ceremony should be optimized while communication with international organizations and exhibitors should be strengthened.

The horticultural expo, themed "Live Green, Live Better," is open until Oct. 7 and features a vast collection of flowers, fruit trees, Chinese herbal medicines and plant landscaping techniques, as well as ideas for green development.
