A New York City hotel maid's sexual assault lawsuit against former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn came to an end Monday, when a Bronx judge said a settlement had been reached.

纽约一家酒店的女服务员指控前国际货币基金组织(International Monetary Fund)总裁卡恩(Dominique Strauss-Kahn)性侵一案周一划上句号。纽约布朗克斯的一名法官说，双方已经达成和解。

But the details of the settlement were not disclosed. 'The amount of the settlement…is confidential,' said Judge Douglas McKeon, during a court hearing in the Bronx on Monday.

The maid, Nafissatou Diallo, 33 years old, sat with her attorneys at an afternoon hearing in New York State Supreme Court in the Bronx, dressed in a green long-sleeved blouse and black pants, as the judge announced the settlement.

Judge McKeon, who has overseen a string of recent settlement negotiations on the case, said a final deal was reached Nov. 28.

Judge McKeon said Ms. Diallo settled another suit she had brought against the New York Post over articles that claimed she worked as a prostitute. The Post is published by News Corp ., publisher of The Wall Street Journal. No terms were revealed. A spokeswoman for The Post didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

After the brief hearing, Ms. Diallo spoke to dozens of reporters gathered on the courthouse steps. 'I thank everyone who supported me all over the world,' she said. 'I thank everybody, I thank God, and God bless you all,' she said. In response to shouted questions, she simply waved and climbed into a waiting car.

The hearing was a relative quiet end to a case that roiled French politics and the international media.

At the time a leading French presidential candidate, Mr. Strauss-Kahn, 63 years old, was arrested on May 14, 2011, after Ms. Diallo told police that he attacked her when she entered his room on the 28th floor of the Sofitel Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, looking to clean it.

Six days later, Mr. Strauss-Kahn resigned his IMF post, saying he wanted to devote his strength and time to proving his innocence. He was indicted and held under house arrest.
