国内英语资讯:Leading officials told to set example in Party education campaign

BEIJING, June 24 -- Leading Party organizations and officials at all levels should set an example in the ongoing education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission," said an official directive on Monday.

"They should not treat themselves as the supervisor and organizer of the campaign and stay out of it," said the document issued by the leading group of the campaign, stressing that efforts should be made to prevent the practice of formalities for formalities' sake and bureaucratism in the campaign.

The document asked all departments and regions to engage in attentive study, carry out careful research and investigation, reflect on their own work and expose problems as well as effectively correct the problems.

The campaign among all members of the Communist Party of China has been carried out nationwide since it was launched on May 31.
