BEIJING, June 12 -- The leading Party members' group of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held a group study session Wednesday to study remarks on the Party's united front work in Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the session and delivered a speech, according to a statement issued after the session.
Wang said the remarks by Xi, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, on united front work have provided fundamental guidelines for relevant work in a new era.
As part of the CPPCC's activities held for the education campaign themed "staying true to our founding mission," the group study session will help the leading Party members' group better understand and grasp the CPPCC's founding aspiration and mission, he said.
