“研究生学费”改革

国务院常务会议近日部署完善研究生教育投入机制，决定从2017年秋季学期起，向所有纳入国家招生计划的新入学研究生收取学费。

The State Council, or China's cabinet, on Wednesday announced that the country will begin to charge tuition fees for all its postgraduate students while offering more flexible choices of student financial aid.

国务院周三宣布，将向所有研究生收取学费，同时提供更加灵活的学生资助政策。

Tuition fees就是“学费”，也可直接用tuition或者tuition payments表示。国家统一招生的研究生通常都分为government-supported graduate student（公费研究生）和self-supporting graduate student（自费研究生），前者享受tuition waivers（免学费）待遇。graduate student for Master’s degree（硕士研究生）和doctoral candidate（博士研究生）每月都能领到一笔补助（subsidy）。

新政策实施后，国家将改进研究生financial aid system（资助体系），推出多种scholarship（奖学金）和student loans（助学贷款）项目帮助学生解决学习和生活费用问题。同时，国家还将加大研究生助教和助研岗位津贴资助力度（increase subsidies for student teaching and research assistants）。
