又到“国考”时

2013年度中国中央机关及其直属机构考试录用公务员报名24日结束。截至10月24日18时，共有138.3万人通过资格审查。

National civil servant examination为“国家公务员考试”，被大家简称为“国考”，是很多毕业生就业时的top choice（首选）。

近些年来，State-level government agencies and their affiliated public institutions（中央机关及其直属机构）的每一次公开招录都能引来数万人报名竞争，背后的原因除了weak economic outlook（经济前景不佳），工作不好找之外；主要还是因为公务员被视作“旱涝保收”的iron rice bowl（铁饭碗），stable income（收入稳定）、能享受相对好的social welfare（社会福利），退休后的待遇也明显好于企业职工。
