国内英语资讯:Chinese federation honors female models, groups

BEIJING, April 22 (Xinhua) -- A total of 1,980 posts were honored by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) on Saturday at an award ceremony in Beijing.

The posts stood out for their women's contributions to the country, the society and the people, while the proportion of women at the posts should be over 50 percent for them to be eligible for the award.

Also, as many as 998 female individuals and 500 female groups were awarded at the ceremony for their specific outstanding work.

The ACWF was established in 1949 by the Communist Party of China, and has played an important role in every stage of China's founding and development.
