Don't be confused by their name. Actually, a flash mob is a group of people who gather suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disappear.

Then, they quickly disappear before the police can arrive. Using mobile phones, the flash mobs can change its place if the first one has been cancelled for any reason.

  答

  案

sign“迹象;手势”;symbol“象征;符号”;signal“信号”;notice“通知”。

consider“考虑;认为”;complete“完成;竣工”;control“控制”。

in total“总共;总计”;in general“通常”;in particular“尤其;特别”;in common“共同”。

in the way“妨碍;挡道”,符合句意。in a way“在某种程度上”;on the way“在路上”;by the way“顺便说”。

  9.选A deal with“处理;应付;应对”;agree with“同意;赞同”;turn out“结果是;原来是”;put out“扑灭;生产”。

  12.选C so ...that ... 如果将so+adj./adv.

in common with意为“和…… A、B项第一空together with, as well as意思及用法与in common with类似,均错在第二空;D项instead of意为“而不是”,不符合句意。

  14.选D with the help of“在……

respect“尊重”;friendship“友谊”;reputation“名声;名誉”。

  .

根据文章的第一段最后一句“Actually, a flash mob is a group of people who gather suddenly ... and then quickly disappear.”和第二段最后一句“Using mobile phones, the flash mob can change its place if the first one has been cancelled for any reason.”

根据文章第二段第一句“They are usually organized with the help of the Internet or other digital communications networks.”

根据文章第三段最后一句“Wasik claimed that he created the flash mob as a social experiment designed to laugh at fashion seekers ...”

根据文章最后一段最后一句“Flash mobs give people from all walks of life an opportunity to come together to create a memory.”

Last year, on 11 November, the sales of Tmall reached 35 billion yuan, which equals the total sales of all the Wangfujing Department stores for a whole year. It shows that the way people buy and sell things is changing and online shopping is becoming increasingly popular.

The reasons why people are crazy shopping online are as follows. For one thing, people can buy whatever they want at a much lower price online and all this can be done by just a click on the mouse. For another, it has become a trend for people to buy things on this special day, so you may find yourself out of date if you don't do the same.

In my opinion, while online shopping offers us a lower price and a wider variety, we should always buy things we really want and avoid wasting money.
