Female genital mutilation denies women and girls their dignity, endangers their health, and causes needless pain and suffering, with consequences that endure for a lifetime and can even be fatal. Sustainable development demands full human rights for all women and girls.

残割女性生殖器的做法剥夺妇女和女童尊严，危及她们的健康并造成不必要的痛苦，其后果得终身忍受，甚至可能造成死亡。可持续发展要求所有妇女和女童充分享有人权。

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development promises an end to this practice by 2030. On this Day of Zero Tolerance, let us build on positive momentum and commit to intensifying global action against this heinous human rights violation for the sake of all affected women and girls, their communities, and our common future.

《2030年可持续发展议程》承诺到2030年终止这种做法。值此零容忍国际日之际，让我们在巩固积极势头的基础上再接再厉，并承诺为了受此影响的所有妇女和女童及其族群的利益乃至我们的共同未来，采取全球行动，制止这一令人发指的侵犯人权行为。
