　　In the past 15 years, homework assignments(布置) have risen by 51% according to a 2006 study . That is an average（平均）of 12 extre hours of homework per week! 　　The Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway, first built in 2005, went into operation on Dec. 26th,2009. The high-speed line, which covers a distance of 1086 kilometres, runs across three provinces: Hubei, Hunan and Guangong. The most exciting thing is that the train can reach a speed of 350 km per hour, which is now the fastest in the world and thus shortens (cuts) the travel time between Guangzhou and Wuhan from ten hours to only three!
