　　Eight years ago，a big earthquake struck Wenchuan in Sichuan Province on this day. The quake was so strong that one-third of the nation felt it. In several terrible minutes, the city and the countryside lay in ruins. The suffering of the people was extreme. Everything was destroyed. People were shocked. It seemed as if the world was at an end!

　　All hope was not lost. Soon after the quake, a great number of soldiers were sent to help to dig out those who were trapped and bury the dead. Soldiers and volunteers built shelters for the survivors whose homes had been destroyed

　　To our great relief, now a new Wenchuan has been constructed. No words are strong enough to express our thanks for the great efforts the soldiers and the volunteers have made to help Wenchuan people.
