Recently we have carried out a survey in our school— “Do you often stay up late at night?” The main findings are as follows:
Half of the students surveyed often stay up late at night. 45.4% sometimes sit up late. And only 4.6% of the students say that they never do that.
Why do so many students become night owls? First of all, students, especially senior 3 students are facing too much study pressure, making them study late into the night. Besides, some students are addicted to computer games and TV programs.
In my opinion, staying up late not only does harm to our health but also affects our learning efficiency in class. Therefore, we should develop a healthy lifestyle, making good use of our time. Just go to sleep on time from today.

The clock had clicked to sleep at least an hour ago. However, the couple’s thoughts had not. In the early evening, the man had just quarrelled with his wife, seriously insulting each other. So they laid in the bed silently, knowing but not admitting the other’s not falling asleep. The man felt guilty, and wanted to say sorry to his wife. But his pride prevented him from doing this. Soon the clock clicked twelve-thirty, but his mouth couldn’t say out “I’m sorry.” He continued to keep silent painfully. And later guilt, pride, and silence all felt tired and had stopped fighting at one am. The couple sat around looking to each other and soon the man noticed that his wife’s hand had been moved towards his own. So he apologized to her.
