We know there are a wide variety of fishes in the lake; if he holds on, he will sure catch more fish than the boy fixing his eyes on the only fish in the basin.

　　In recent years, learning Chinese has become popular among people around the world. Last month, I received an email from my cousin Jack in Canada. He said he was enthusiastic about Chinese, and asked me to find him some books intended for Chinese beginners. I was very pleased to do such a favor. So I went from one bookstore to another, hoping to find something suitable for him. Finally I selected a set of Chinese textbooks among a variety of similar ones. Then I went to a post office to have them delivered by air without delay. Several days later, I received Jack’s email, saying that he really appreciated the books I had sent. I’m very glad that Jack is beginning to learn Chinese just like many other foreigners abroad, although I know it may be an enjoyable challenge for him.

　　I’m a senior high school student, named Li Hua. Now many students have iPads and think it’s a fashion to use them. Using an iPad, we can listen to music, download a lot of learning materials and read them on the screen. Apparently, it is helpful to our study, especially to our English listening.

　　Some students, however, bring their iPads to classrooms and listen to music with earphones, which makes the teacher and other students greatly annoyed. What’s worse, some of them even waste precious time in class playing video games.

　　In my opinion, as a student, we should make good use of iPads to help achieve academic success. The classroom is a place for students to study, and therefore concentration is awfully needed for us to learn our lessons. Furthermore , the school should make a rule to guide the students to use iPads in a proper way.

　　One day，on my way home after school, suddenly I found a wallet lying in the street near the No.323 Bus Stop. I picked up the wallet. What surprised me most was that I saw lots of money and a calling card in the wallet when I opened it. From the calling card I knew something about the owner, including her name，address and telephone number. Immediately I realized I can get in touch with the owner. So I went to the public telephone and called the owner, telling her the matter. Then I waited at the bus stop. It was not long before the owner arrived, and I gave the wallet to her.

　　So excited and thankful to me was the owner that she took out a 100-yuan-note to reward me. But I politely refused it. When I left, the owner said continuously “Thank you, thank you.....”

　　I was happily walking in the street on my way home, feeling like being on the top of the world. I took pride in what I did that day!
