　　军队凯旋入城。 No entry. 禁止入内(进入)。 ②[C] 大门；门厅；(字典等所收入的)字，条目，词条 You may leave your umbrella in the entry.

　　你可以把伞放在门口。 entry与entrance

　　两者均含有“进入房间或建筑物”之意， 均可表示进入某地的权利。 She looked up at the sound of my entry/entrance.

　　她听见我进来的声音， 便抬起头来望。 We were refused entry/entrance.

　　我们被拒之门外。 ①entry一般指“进入(组织)”。 ②entrance表示“(俱乐部、社团、大学等的)准许加入”。 完成句子。 1. 更多的东欧国家希望在今后几年内加入欧盟。

　　7、There's no point (in) doing sth. 做某事没有意义 There is no point in lying. I'll find out anyway.

　　撒谎是没有用的， 无论如何我都会查清楚的。 类似的句型：

　　抱怨于事无补；他们没办法帮助你。
