　　在复合从句中，由一个句子充当宾语，这个句子叫做宾语从句。引导宾语从句的常见引导词有that，if，whether，what，who，where，why和how等。

　　陈述句 That（在口语或非正式文体中场省略） I think （that）Halloween is a fun festival.

　　一般疑问句 Whether，if（在口语中常用if） I wonder if/whether April is a good time to visit Thailand.

　　特殊疑问句 Who，what，when，which，where，how，why Could you please tell me where the restrooms are？

　　【 知识生成】east, west, north, south用法要点：

　　1. 前通常加 the；表在某个方位，常介词 in。如：He lives in the south (north). 他住在南(北)方。

　　【注】有时也不用冠词。如：East or west, home is best. 东好西好不如自己的家好。

　　2. 表示“在……的东(南，西，北)”，通常应根据情况选用不同介词in(表示在范围之内)，to(表示在范围之外)，on(表示毗连)。如：

　　China is in the east of Asia. 中国位于亚洲的东部。

　　3. 用作副词，其前不用介词，但有时其后可接介词短语。如：

　　比较：The village lies to the east of the woods.

　　4. 汉语中说“东南西北”或“东西南北”，但在英语中却要说成north, south, east and west(北南东西) 或 north, east, south and west(北东南西)，也有人说 north, east, west and south(北东西南)，该说法中各词的第一个字母合起来是 news(消息)。
