　　Some parents insist that children should make every effort to live up to their parents’ expectations. They believe it is necessary to be strict with their children. They say parents who set high standards and push their kids to study and make achievements can ensure their children’s success in the future competition.

　　Others, on the contrary, hold the opinion that children should have the right to make their own decisions and develop in their own way. Additionally, praise the children when they do well and encourage them when they are faced with challenges, and they will be great.

　　In my opinion, those who are raised with the strict Chinese parenting style don’t have the ability to think and act independently. They lack imagination, creativity and social skills.
