　　举例说明

　　指要求考生“举例说明某一观点”的要点，如“举例说明养成良好学习习惯的益处”“举例说明近年来家乡的变化”“举例说明父母对子女的影响”“举例说明国家稳定的重要性”等。 写作中，我们在表达某一观点或主题后，接着用for example, for instance, take… for example, take…as an example等引出具体的例子来说明或证明这一观点或主题。

　　千万要记住，举例的目的是为了说明你的观点或某一主题，也就是说，我们一定要围绕你的观点或某一主题选好例子，所举例子一定要能够说明这一主题。 晨读背诵

　　Ms. Wang was the teacher who helped me a lot with my English. Thanks to her help, I made great progress in English. Here is one example. When I wrote English compositions, I often didn’t know how to express myself in English. At that time, I wanted to give it up. However, she helped me to find the best way to solve the problem. 1.举例说明中学生利用假期兼职的好处。

　　首先，写出主题句：中学生利用假期兼职有助于体验生活。然后，举例说明好处(act as a part-time salesman/ realize how difficult it is for parents to make money / felt proud / gave all the money to parents)。

　　Middle school students’ doing part-time jobs in vacation can help them experience life better. Take my classmate Mike as an example. He acted as a part-time salesman for a company in this summer holiday. He often sold the products from door to door. Working under the high temperature, he realized how difficult it is for parents to make money. 　　首先，写出主题句：污染对环境确实造成了很大的影响。然后，举例说明影响(air pollution/water pollution/industrial waste/ acid rain and dirty and undrinkable water /worsen the environment)。

　　The famous people have a positive impact on the teenagers in some ways. Here is one example. 　　There is no denying that doing charitable work not only benefits the society but also ourselves a lot. Take my cousin Lily as an example. She helps the old at the local nursing home on weekends, chatting with them, doing cleaning, cutting hair for them and bringing them some food and small gifts, which pleases the old. My cousin also feels relaxed and happy after her devoted work.

　　Therefore, I strongly appeal to us all that we should try our best to do for the charity. It is better for us to donate some money to the people in need or help them with their work. I believe with our great care and attention, our society will be more harmonious and poor people will lead a happier life. * *
