Step1 Revision
.Review the grammar part.
Step2 Lead in and Presentation
1.T communicates with the students like this “T:What sport do you like? S:I like…”
T: Can you guess what sport I like? Encourage Ss to ask “Do you like…?”
2.T presents the pictures of Millie, Simon, Kitty, Amy, Sandy and Daniel. Do you remember these students? Do you know what activities they like? Encourage Ss to answer the questions. Sandy likes playing Volleyball. Amy likes swimming. …
Step3 Listening
1.Get Ss to finish some information of Part A1
2.T: Mr Wu is asking his students his students about their favourite sports. Can you help Mr Wu write the letters in the box?
3.Ss listen to the tape. Ask Ss to write the correct letters in the boxes.
Step4 Practicing
1.Check the answers.
2.Get Ss to make dialogues to talk about the six students’ favourite sports.
Step5 Listening
1.T: Mr Wu is writing some notes. He wants to introduce the sports his students like. Would you please help him? Let’s listen to the conversation again. Please complete the notes in Part A2.
2. Ss check the answers in pairs first, then ask one student to read it aloud for checking the answers.
3. Ss read the passage together.
Step6 Making a survey
Get Ss to ask their group mates something about their favourite sports. After that , write a note to report to the whole class. Then ask several students to read their notes.
Step 7 Speak up.
