双语小技巧：should到底怎么用？

我们都知道，should作为情态动词，有“应该”之义。然而，它的用法是不是仅限“应该”呢？Of course not。 事实上，should还有很多很多用法。今天小编就跟大家解释一下should的用法~

1。 应该（常用于纠正别人）： you shouldn’t smoke in public places。 你不该在公共场合吸烟。

2。 该，可以（提出或征询建议）：You should stop crying for that。 你不该为那事伤心流泪了。

3。 应该会（表示预期）：We should finish the work before bedtime。 睡前我们应该能完成工作。

4。 本应（表示与预期相反）：You should have finished all the homework before 9：00。 九点前，你本该完成所有家庭作业。

5。 就将（表示虚拟结果）：If I were a bird， I should （would） fly in the sky。 如果我是一只小鸟，我将在天空翱翔。

6。 用于从句（用在表示建议或安排的that从句中）：

My teacher suggests that I should take part in the activities。 老师建议我参加这次活动。（should可省）

7。 用于从句（用在表示感情的形容词后的that 从句中）：

He is anxious that we should pass the exam。 他迫切希望能通过考试。

8。 表示没有把握（与I 和we连用）：

---Is your answer right？  ---I should think so。

—— 你的答案对吗？ ——我想差不多吧。

9。 Why， how， who， what+ sb+ to do sth： 表示拒绝、惊奇或恼怒：

Why should I help him？ He is so rude to me。 我干嘛要去帮他？他对我那么粗鲁。

10。 真该：You should have heard her words when she knew the good news。 你真该听听她得知消息时所说的话。
