—________.I can easily get it fixed.

  A.Don’t mention it

  B.That’s right

  C.Not at all

  D.Never mind

Don’t mention it不用谢,是对别人表示感谢时的应答语;That’s right那是对的;Not at all别客气,是回答别人感谢的应答语。本题易误选为B项,考生把That’s right误认为是That’s all right(没关系)。

Holding________2016 Provincial Games successfully will be________victory not only for Anqing government, but for________residents of this city.

  A.the;a;the

  B./;the;/

  C./;a;the

  D.the;a;/

  解析:选A。

In our class there are 46 students,________ half wear glasses.

  A.in whom

  B.in them

  C.of whom

  D.of them

4.When________to repairing a computer,I have little knowledge of it.

  A.I come

  B.it comes

  C.we come

  D.they come

When it comes/came to...

5.Hardly could he________this amount of work in such a short time.

  A.get through

  B.get off

  C.get into

  D.get down

  解析:选A。 get through成功,通过,完成。

6.He has written________articles about air pollution hoping to call the attention of all people to the problem.

  A.a series of

  B.a large amount of

8.It is so nice to hear from her.________,we last met more than thirty years ago.

  A.What’s more

  B.That is to say

  C.In other words

  D.Believe it or not

D。believe it or not信不信由你。 what’s more另外;that is to say这就是说,in other words换句话说。

9.In France,it is the________to shake hands with people in the office every morning.

  A.custom

  B.behaviour

  C.habit

  D.act

  解析:选A。

I’m terribly sorry to interrupt, but may I use your phone? It’s rather urgent.

  — Yes, ________.

  A.with pleasure

  B.no hurry

  C.it doesn’t matter

  D.of course

“...may I...”

11.Hiking by oneself can be fun and good for health. It may also be good for________building.

  A.respect

  B.friendship

  C.reputation

  D.character

  12.Come on,tell me what’s wrong.Sometimes it helps to________your problems,you know.

  A.reply

  B.divide

  C.share

  D.separate

Are you going to Tom’s birthday party?

  —________.I might have to work.

  A.It depends

  B.Thank you

  C.Sounds great

  D.Don’t mention it

  解析:选A。 I might have to work.

14.His car________the terrible traffic jam,so he had to call off his appointment with his doctor.

  A.came across

  B.came along

  C.came between

  D.came at

  答案:A

  —________—whatever you want.

  A.Help yourself

  B.It’s a deal

  C.No problem

  D.It’s up to you

  A

(2012·高考新课标全国卷)Honey from the African forest is not only a kind of natural sugar, it is also delicious. Most people, and many animals, like eating it. However, the only way for them to get that honey is to find a wild bees’ nest and take the honey from it. Often, these nests are high up in trees, and it is difficult to find them. In parts of Africa, though, people and animals looking for honey have a strange and unexpected helper - a little bird called a honey guide.

The honey guide does not actually like honey, but it does like the wax in the beehives (蜂房). The little bird cannot reach this wax, which is deep inside the bees’ nest. So, when it finds a suitable nest, it looks for someone to help it. The honey guide gives a loud cry that attracts the attention of both passing animals and people. Once it has their attention, it flies through the forest, waiting from time to time for the curious animal or person as it leads them to the nest. When they finally arrive at the nest, the _follower reaches in to get at the delicious honey as the bird patiently waits and watches. Some of the honey, and the wax, always falls to the ground, and this is when the honey guide takes its share.

Scientists do not know why the honey guide likes eating the wax, but it is very determined in its efforts to get it. The birds seem to be able to smell wax from a long distance away. They will quickly arrive whenever a beekeeper is taking honey from his beehives, and will even enter churches when beeswax candles are being lit.

4.What can be the best title for the text?
