　　Christmas Day 圣诞节

　　Christmas is the biggest festival in the western world, which people all over the Christian countries celebrate. It is on the 25th day of each December. Christians consider it as the birthday of Jesus Christ.

　　圣诞节是西方世界最大的一个节日，所有基督教国家都会庆祝圣诞节。圣诞节是每年的12月25日，基督教徒把这一条看作是耶稣基督的诞辰。

　　It is a very happy day for many boys and girls. All children are very excited.

　　对许多男孩女孩来说，今天是个开心的日子，所有的孩子都很兴奋。

　　Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that the Santa Claus will come down the chimney or fireplace , so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. Later that night, Father or Mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.

　　通常爸爸妈妈很早就把孩子赶上床，那样父母就可以去放礼物，小孩子以为是圣诞老人从烟囱或壁炉里来把圣诞礼物从来的，所以他们在床头挂一只袜子用来装礼物。晚上，父母就去把礼物装到袜子里，其它的放床边。

　　On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Children look for their presents , and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one oclock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is brought in . The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten. Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it. The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

　　圣诞节早上，孩子们早早的就起床了。在大人准备饭菜的时候，孩子们找礼物，年轻人玩耍。差不多下午一点左右，圣诞节正在准备好了。火鸡或肌肉很快被吃完了，孩子们在事先准备好硬币的布丁里找新硬币。剩下的一天都是玩游戏或者吃，直到快乐的一天到头。
