1. What is your favorite language?
My favorite language is Chinese. Chinese is my native language. China has a long history with a profound cultural background. So Chinese is very complicated language which is difficult to learn, I like ancient Chinese poems and sayings very much, which are meaningful and beautiful.
2. Do you think English is important to China?
Its clear that English is important to China. As a communicating tool, English is widely accepted in most parts of the world and its the official language in most developed countries, such as America, The UK, Canada and so on. If China wants to do business and keep good relationship with other countries, mastering English is really important.
3. Why should we learn foreign languages?
The main purpose of learning foreign languages is communicating. Learning a foreign language well means you master another communicating tool to contact with the people who can speak that language. If the biggest obstacle of communication is removed, you can talk with foreign people, live in foreign country and do business with foreign companies. It can bring you a lot of benefits.
4. What aspect of learning English do you find is the least difficult?
I think the least difficult aspect of learning English is the vocabulary. Through pronunciation, I can easily memorize and spell a word. Besides, I like to watch English movies and listen to English songs, which can help me enlarge my vocabulary a lot.
5. What aspect of learning English do you find is the most difficult?
The most difficult aspect of learning English, I guess, is the grammar. There are so many different tenses, set phrases and so on. And sometimes, they have few differences. Besides, these complicated rules, sentences are also difficult to make. I am usually confused.
6. Do you think learning Chinese is easier than learning English?
Yes, Chinese is my native language, and I have been immersed in it since I was born, so I can write, speak and read Chinese easily. But as to learning English, there are many difficulties I have to overcome. I dont thing English is easy to master. We just lack the atmosphere to practice it. It is said that practice makes perfect.
