　　1. motivate v. 激励;促进;激发

　　名词形式motivation。

　　A desire to pass Band 6 motivates her to work hard.

　　通过六级的欲望刺激着她努力学习。

　　2. multiply v. 繁殖

　　multiply除了表示繁殖，也可表示做乘法，如multiply A by B，或者multiply A and B ,表示A和B相乘。而做除法则为divide，加为plus或add，减法为subtract或minus。

　　与这个词拼写差不多的词是multiple，multiple既可作形容词，也可作名词。作形容词时表示多项的，多类型的;作名词时表示倍数，而multiple store则指连锁商店。
