　　abundant 丰富的、大量的。指某一地大量出产某物，某一处大量存在某物，远远超过所需。

　　There are abundant supplies of firewood in the forest.林子里有很多柴禾。

　　plentiful 充裕的，足够的、很多的。指大量存在，多的用不完，与abundant词义同，但不同之处在于abundant限于对某一地，某一处的观察，而plentiful则无此限。
