  题目:Is quitting ever good?

People inevitably got confronted with bottleneck and quandary during the process of achieving the goal, and it is sensible if they choose to quit and turn to other directions for hope; however, a simple glimpse of the scroll of history can reveal the vital and determining role played by tenacity and perseverance in the success of the famous. Quit is just a passive makeshift and a lamentable manifestation of ones impuissance.

A provident alternative might it seems like, giving in on ones pursuit is just a sign of weakness and the implausibility of the original plan is just a fancy excuse. As most of the dream-chasers are clueless and nonplussed at the very beginning of the task, only by conquering the obstacles one by one can one realize that the task is not that intimidating as it seems before, as can be illustrated by Marie Colvin, the famous field journalist who lost her life on the battlefield of Holmes in the mist of the Syria governments bombardment in 2012. In 2001, Colvin went to Sri Lanka to report warfare news and unfortunately she was attacked by the government force. At last she survived but she lost her left eye forever. Instead of quitting her job, Colvin put on a black eyeshade and rushed to another battlefield. Death just threatened her aggressively, but she got faith to fight against it. She insisted that the public had the right to know what the army did in name of them and it is true that many people were waiting for her reports and they cared the misfortune and wanted to stop it when she went through fire and water. It is probable that her dream seems nonsensical, even obstreperous; however, strutted by her unswerving creed, Marie refused to be a quitter and passed her love and message of peace to all the humankind.

History repeats itself; every period of history is illuminated by the outstanding precedents who tenaciously and persistently advocate humanity, virtues, justice, empathy, etc. Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Harriet Tubmannames are enumerable. All these human-rights fighters encountered countless setback and aspersion during their struggle. While refusing to wave the white flag to the cruel reality, they chose to fight till the last breath, and had they not been so dauntless, the dream would remain to be a fantasy for, say, decades to come.

The spirit of carrying forward is also covetable in the disciplinary sphere, where the over-throw of the stereotype and the defiance against the authority is extremely hazardous and precarious. Worse, even if the dominating force is not very strong, it will take a period of time before people accept a new concept; thus the durability and elasticity is strongly required. Exemplifications are plenty, John Nashs subversion of the then the father of the economics Adam Smith, Galileos topple of the once embraced theory of Aristotles, Eminems challenge of the reining field of the hip-pop of the black, etc. Their persistence rise above all the adversities and contempt, leading mankind to the brave new world.

As a Chinese poet puts it: I am endowed with black eyes, but I use it to grope for light. The one who deserves success and nirvana is the one who endures the darkness and never says: I quit.
