　　130.How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

　　The previous leader of China, Chairman Mao once said teenagers are the sun just rising up and masters of the whole world. Since people realized that one day they have to pass the responsibility of the society to their next generation, they become more and more emphasizing on childrens socialization and education although severe critics emerges sometimes to evaluate and judge todays education. In fact, parents and society do spare no effort and spend much expenditure on education which makes much contribution to the development of society.

　　Education, a primary target of society, is naturally and thoroughly concerned by different organizations and institutions, such as family, school, and government. Due to the fierce competition of modern society, families not only feed children, but also spend much expense on childrens interests and advantages to develop childrens potential comprehensively. Whats more, families never forget to assist children to build up value system and morality which determines whether they will be beneficial to society and human being either. I am now serving in Salvation Army as a social worker in Hong Kong, in charge of a program called South Asia Children Program. According to the organization survey and my observation and communication with those children, they all have participated in singing, dancing, painting courses, or something like that after school, similar as Hong Kong children. That is a demonstration that parents wherever they come from all pay much attention on childrens education.

　　Education is also the essential of school and government. In every years government budget plan, expense on education is a big part that nobody can neglect, for instance, China has planned over 10 billion Yuan, 14 percent of gross domestic product, to support the countrys education. With adequate financial support, not only can schools and colleges, employing faculties which are almost masters or Master of Philosophy in every field nowadays, afford knowledge on science and social science, but also provide more access to electronic apparatus, art exhibitions, concerts and so on, which are profitable for childrens development.

　　In addition, our society become more and more tolerant to the children with genius and talent, who dont have accompanied by other children in schools regularly, but can develop their intellectual and inherence with more freedom, namely elitism education. In tradition, people send children to schools no matter whether they are suitable for mass education, thus it hampers or restricts the childrens talents, and then the children become no extraordinary with other people. That wastes! Now gift children attain more space and freedom to invent new machine, create new style of painting, compose a new symphony, and become another Edison, Picasso and Mozart.

　　Admittedly, there are there are some teenagers who thieve, are addicted to drugs and do bad things violating peoples morality. However, they are just small portion of teenagers, which cannot be evidence to eliminate the contribution of education and socialization.

　　To sum up, even though there are still children showing bad behavior and seeming no benefit for society, which be the proof of opponent, people have take measures to improve the situation, like the film classification system and forbidding drug smuggling, to name a few. Families, schools and governments are promoting their measures for a better society.
