handsome 可以指人, 也可以指东西的制作精良

My furniture is good-looking.

reach; arrive

reach 是及物动词, 后面一定要加宾语

arrive 是不及物动词, 后面要加宾语要和介词 in 或 at 连用

take part in;take place

take part in 参加

take place ＝ happen 发生

What happened? = What took place?
