Pay 为什么而付钱, 人作主语

Spend + 1. n., pron. 度过 spend my holiday

2. 时间 , 金钱 + on + sth.

Women spend a lot of money on clothes.

3. 时间 , 金钱 + ( in ) doing sth.

The manager spent 2 hours explaining the plan at the meeting.
