　　telling someone to accept a bad situation or failure劝说某人接受失败或不好的境遇

　　1. Theres nothing you can do about it. 你对此无能为力。

　　2. Thats the way it goes. 现实就是这样。

　　3. You cant fight it. 你再争也没有用。

　　4. cest la vie. 生活就是如此。

　　5. It was destined to happen.这是命中注定。

　　6. Its meant to be.命该如此。

　　7. What ever will be, will be. 该怎样，就会怎样。

　　8. Its just one of those things. 这样的事情总是难免的。

　　9. At least we are not the only ones facing these problems. 至少不光是我们面临这样的问题。

　　10. Its the best we can do under the circumstances. 情况就是这样，我们已经尽力而为了。

　　11. You did the best you could. 你已经尽力而为了。

　　12. You get an a for effort. 你尽了最大的努力。

　　13. The important thing is that you tried. 重要的是你已经努力过了。

　　14. Winning isnt everything. 赢并不是一切。

　　telling someone to leave things as they are.劝某人不要破坏现状

　　1. Let it be. 随它去。

　　2. Leave it be. 由它去。

　　3. Let things be. 顺其自然。

　　4. Leave well enough alone. 得过且过，见好就收。

　　5. If it aint broke, dont fix it. (aint：口语中不规范的用法，在此为isnt。)本句字面意思是：东西还没坏，就别急去修它。

　　6. Live and let live. 各人有各人的活法。(本句字面含义是：你按你的方式生活。也要让别人按他们的方式生活。)

　　7. Let sleeping dogs lie. 别招惹麻烦。

　　8. Dont rock the boat. 不要无事生非，引起众怒。(rock the boat：因发表不同意见而破现状，给大家制造麻烦。)

　　9. Dont go looking for trouble. 别没事找事。

　　10. Keep quiet about it if you know whats good for you. 什么也别说,免得你自个儿添不自在。
