6月11日，世界卫生组织正式宣布把H1N1流感警戒级别提升至6级，这就意味着世卫组织认定疫情已经成为全球性的流行。
所以大家还是不能掉以轻心，有病就得去医院，当务之急就是找医生对病情进行诊断，这个诊断，英文叫做diagnosis。
如：Her fever led to a diagnosis of pneumonia.
她的高烧被确诊为肺炎。
有些病情比较复杂，不好一下子确诊，还有些病即使一时能诊断出来，但未来的发展如何不好判断，对后者，英文的说法是prognosis，一些字典里译成预后。
譬如：He had not been expexted to survive.But this prognosis now was good。
他没指望能活下去，但是，他的治愈前景还不错。
预后乐观，是favarable prognosis;不乐观则是doubtful prognosis或unfavorable prognosis。
有趣的是，diagnosis有动词形式，是diagnose;而prognosis则没有动词形式，若非要用动词，恐怕只好使用别的词了，如predict ,forcast等。
