　　农作物正当季也可以用season。如 Pears are in season now。现在梨正当季。相反的，淡季用off-season或者out of season。

　　四季的初期，中期，末期可以用early，mid，late，也可以加上time。如springtime(春季)，wintertime(冬季),但是没有falltime这个单词。我们夏季还有初伏、中伏、末伏，英语里最接近的表达是 dog days of summer -夏季最热的时期。season of the year 作为特定的季节表达，也可以说成time of year。
