　　他惊奇地屏住了呼吸。

　　3. You can see peoples breath on a cold day.

　　冷天能看到人们呼出的空气。

　　4. Only in the countryside can we have a breath of fresh air.

　　只有在郊野我们才能呼吸到新鲜的空气。

　　Breathe

　　to take air into your lungs and send it out again through your nose or mouth呼吸 [动词]

　　1. I like to breathe the fresh air in suburban places.

　　我喜欢在郊外呼吸新鲜空气。

　　2. Fish cannot breathe without water.

　　鱼离开水就不能呼吸。

　　3. I feel as if it is hard to breathe.

　　我感到好像呼吸困难。

　　4. To breathe the fresh air will do your lungs good.

　　呼吸新鲜空气对你的肺是有好处的。

　　【注意】

　　breath和breathe都表示呼吸的意思，但是词性不同。breath是名词，breathe是动词。

　　(1)The doctor asked me to take a deep breath.

　　(2)The doctor asked me to breathe deeply.
