　　Assent

　　official agreement to or approval of something 同意，赞成

　　1. She is by common assent, the best person for the job.

　　大家一致同意，她是最适合这份工作的人。

　　2. There were murmurs of both assent and dissent from the crowd.

　　人群议论纷纷，赞成和反对的都有。

　　3. I wont give my assent to her plan.

　　我不会同意她的计划。

　　As an intransitive verb, it means to agree to a request, an idea or a suggestion assent作不及物动词，意为同意，赞成，认可

　　1. Nobody would assent to the terms they proposed.

　　谁也不会同意他们所提出的条件。

　　2. I can never assent to such a request.

　　我决不会同意这种要求。

　　3. The teacher will never assent to our playing football in the street.

　　教师决不会同意我们在街上踢足球。

　　【注意】

　　assent可以用作名词，也可用作动词，意为同意，赞成。常与介词to搭配使用。

　　(1)I fully assent to your plan.

　　(2)I fully assent your plan.
