人群议论纷纷，赞成和反对的都有。
3. I wont give my assent to her plan.
我不会同意她的计划。
As an intransitive verb, it means to agree to a request, an idea or a suggestion assent作不及物动词，意为同意，赞成，认可
1. Nobody would assent to the terms they proposed.
谁也不会同意他们所提出的条件。
2. I can never assent to such a request.
我决不会同意这种要求。
3. The teacher will never assent to our playing football in the street.

assent可以用作名词，也可用作动词，意为同意，赞成。常与介词to搭配使用。
