高低杠(Uneven Bars )是女子体操特有的一个项目，它由一高一低两付杠组成，杠间距离可以调整。低杠高130160厘米，高杠高190240厘米。横杠是椭圆形的，长径5厘米、短径4厘米，是由玻璃钢加木质杠面制成的，具有良好的弹性和坚固性。规则中对成套动作的不同难度的组合要求。19世纪末叶，女子体操在欧洲盛行，当时女子和男子一样，练的是平行双杠。以后为了适应女运动员的特点，把双杠的一侧升高，成为高低杠。
