引入写作、口语实施半分制是考试近年最大的变化。考官在评分时，能更精确、更细致地体现考生的英文水平。
比如写作部分，写作的小作文部分从年底就开始酝酿变更，全年更是沿着细化题目要求的思路一路走来，这就需要考生清楚地知道写作任务的具体要求，即明白分数的着力点和评分点在哪。
启德雅思资深教官林晓东说，考生不用太担心，只要把握好考试动态，充分准备的学生同样能够出色作答。
除此以外，今年雅思考试做出报考程序调整。第一，考生需要在预定考试座位之前预交全额报名费用;第二，针对部分人使用软件频繁刷新网页占座的现象，报名系统也进行了改进，以杜绝此类情况发生。另外报考的截止日期从原先考前15个日缩短为考前10个工作日。
