　　Tire Track Eels are mainly found in Sri Lanka, South China and Sumatra. They are mainly nocturnal, spending most of the day buried in the gravel, or in a dark protected space, with only their heads exposed.

　　Tire Track Eels inhabit slow moving rivers and lakes, often being found close to a rocky shore that provides good cover for hunting.
