在雅思考试中，听力部分通常是最先测试的部分。由于其语速较快，内容较多，题型复杂，常成为考生的心头之痛。 因此听力得分的优劣很大程度上决定了考生继续后几个部分时的心情， 很多考生在听力没有做好的情况下，就自暴自弃地对付后面的阅读和写作，从而并没有达到检验自己英语水平的真实目的。怎样应对雅思听力也就成了广大考生的当务之急。
任何希望在听力部分得到6分以上的雅思考生，在开始准备复习雅思之前，一定要认真的检查自己的词汇量，发音和语法基础。这三项是听力考试的基础，词汇量应该达到5000左右，发音应基本准确，，语法可以通过阅读和翻译来检查。
建议基础不太好的考生一定要在前期把大量时间花在这三项上。时间长短因人而异。不要图多快好省，那样只能建空中楼阁。
离考试还有三个月左右的时间，上一个烤鸭培训班，了解雅思听力的来龙去脉雅思的听力与别的考试完全不同。。
离考试还有两个月左右，每天坚持精听1个小时左右，泛听半个小时左右。
离考试还有一个月左右，每周坚持做两套雅思听力题目，并分析错误原因。
离考试还有一周左右，每天坚持做一套雅思听力题目，同时还要精泛听结合练习。
离考试还有一天，不做题了，只听休闲的英语节目。
考试当天，把前面积累的所有东东全部释放出来。
考完之后的周一，休息一天，把雅思听力忘得一干二净。
考完之后的周二，每天坚持练习听力1个小时左右，多听生活化的内容，为将来的国外生活做准备，坚持到出国。
出国后我就管不了了，只要不是在日本，新加坡和印度等集英语发音极烂之大成的地区，爱听什么就听什么，反正身边的老外都是听力磁带。
