副词quite可以修饰比较级吗

副词quite通常不用于修饰比较级，但有一个例外，即可说quite better(指身体康复)。如：
I’m quite better now. 我现在好多了。 http://yingyu.chazidian.com
注意，虽然quite一般不用于修饰比较级，但却可以修饰最高级。如：
It’s quite the worst play I have ever seen. 这的确是我看过的戏当中最差的出戏。
下面请看一道考题：
—This book is _________ more useful for us students.
—Yes, but it is _________ too difficult.
A. quite, quite B. much, much
C. rather, quite D. quite, much
【分析】此题应选B。理由是：虽然 quite, rather, much 均可用于加强语气，但是修饰比较级或副词 too(太)时，要用rather 或 much，而不用 quite。
