怎么办？
Incorrect English: “How to do?”
Correct English:
“What can we do?” OR
“What should we do?” OR
“What are we going to do?”
解释:
我们不能总是把 “怎么” 直译成“how”。上面 “Correct English” 中的几种“’怎么” 的译法是很恰当的。
Explanation:
We cannot just translate “怎么办” as “how”. Some proper translations of “怎么办” are above.
Examples:
Larry: “There is a comet coming towards Earth! It` s going to hit in two hours!”
Megan: “Oh my God! What are we going to do?!”
Waiter: “I` m sorry, sir. There are no seats in the restaurant right now. You` II have to wait.”
Customer 1: “What should we do?”
Customer 2: “Let` s go to another restaurant.”
