　　1)的(表示所属关系)：

　　It’s the custom of the country.

　　这是这个国家的习俗。

　　Have you got the complete works of Shakespeare?

　　What’s your date of birth?

　　你出生日期是哪一天?

　　2)of表示特征(作表语或定语)：

　　We’re of the same opinion.

　　我们的意见是一致的。

　　Your help is of great value to us.

　　你的帮助对我们很有价值。

　　Birds of a feather flock together.

　　物以类聚。(谚)

　　3)和表示数量的词连用：

　　The four of us went on working.

　　我们四个人继续干。

　　I’m going to get a packet of cigarettes.

　　4)of用在带先行词it的句子中，表示谈某人的情况：

　　It’s good of you to take the trouble.

　　5)(和动词连用)表示想到、谈到等：

　　I often think of our days together.

　　6)(of和一形容词连用)表示对……的某种情绪：

　　7)(of和名词或形容词连用)表示动宾关系：

　　It’s just waste of money.
