A: It’s too darned hot today. My body’s gone all limp and floppy. I can hardly stand up.
B: Go and have an iced tea and sit in the shade a while. You’ll feel better in a little while.

【语言点精讲】

darned: 相当于darn，英语口语中用于强调，尤其是强调令人不快的事情。
limp: 疲乏的，劳顿的；柔软的，易曲的；性格软弱的，不够坚强的。
floppy: 松软的，松松垮垮的。
shade: 树阴，阴凉处。
ask ab. out: 同异性约会。
chicken out: 因胆小而防窃做某事。
timid: 畏缩的，胆小的，害羞的。
