A: My father worries about getting infirm, and he still goes mountain climbing.
B: That’s because he bought a dog, a Golden Retriever called Jilly. She keeps him on his toes.

A: John is such a dreamboat. Every time I see him I feel paralysed and helpless.

【语言点精讲】

infirm: 通常指因年老而体弱的，虚弱的。
retriever: 经训练会衔回猎物的狗。
on one's toe: 有活力的。
paralysed: 出于害怕等而不能移动的；无力活动的；瘫痪的。
dreamboat: 万人迷，极吸引人的人。
shy: 害羞。
courage: 勇气。
