A: Joe and Mary haven't even noticed that our country is in an economic downturn.
B: That's because they are in love with each other. They are so busy planning their wedding and their future together that they are in blissful ignorance of any problems around them.

【语言点精讲】

downturn: （尤指经济）衰退，下降。
blissful: 极乐的；使人幸福的。
in blissful ignorance of: 对某事无知却心安理得。
in spite of: 尽管。
Good thing: 幸运的是；正确的是。等同于It's a good thing.
blithe: 快乐的，愉快的。
