A: Poor Grandpa is suffering from arthritis. His fingers are twisted and he can’t open his hand anymore.
B: Yes, but we all love those misshapen hands that have worked for us for so many years.

A: 可怜的爷爷正在受关节炎的折磨。他的手指弯曲，手也伸展不开了。
B: 是的，不过我们都深爱他那双为我们操劳多年变成畸形的手。

A: Honey, don’t give up on me now! I finally bought you the car you wanted.
B: This dumpy old thing? It is older than you, and it needs new paint! Why couldn’t you buy me something nice for a change?

A: 亲爱的，别离开我！我给你买了你想要的车。
B: 就是那个丑陋的破玩意儿？比你都老，还得重新上漆！你怎么就不能换换样，给我买点好东西？

misshapen: （尤指肢体）畸形的；形态丑陋的。
give up on: 知道无法成功而主动放弃。
