名著“翻拍”的英文表达

李少红版电视剧《红楼梦》近日终于揭开神秘面纱，有人质疑“黛肥钗瘦，有人质疑“铜钱妆，也有人赞其高度忠于原著。再联想到之前饱受非议的翻拍《三国》，大家不仅感叹翻拍名著日渐成风，而且是个费力不讨好的活。

在中国，“四大文学名著深深植根于人们的心中。上世纪末，这些作品已被拍成电视剧，受到观众喜爱。而如今，电视制作者又致力于对名著进行翻拍。

文中的re-shoot就是指“翻拍，通常还可以说成remake或者re-produce。比如：

Fox is bringing "Romancing the Stone" to the big screen again, swinging into development aremakeof the 1984 adventure movie and tapping Daniel McDermott to write it.

福克斯将翻拍1984年的冒险片《寻找宝石》，将其再次搬上大银幕，并请丹尼尔•麦克唐莫特操刀改编。

大家对the four masterpieces of literature（中国古代四大文学名著）一定不陌生，但你知道这四部名著的书名都怎么翻译吗？它们分别是Journey to the West（《西游记》）,A Dream of Red Mansions（《红楼梦》）,Water Margin（《水浒传》）,the Three Kingdoms（《三国演义》）。其中《红楼梦》的翻译有多个版本，有人认为翻译为the Story of the Stone最地道。

新版《红楼梦》在选演员的时候，进行了全国范围的海选，最后确定的演员都是经过层层talent competition（才艺比赛）选拔出来的。
